Victorian Straits Chinese ladies slippers, green leather, with green velvet panel at front, embossed with silver filigree work of foliage. 22.86cm long, heel 3.81cm high, rare piece. This pair of Straits-Chinese slippers would have been for a very wealthy lady of the house. The floral filligree work was made in silver and they would have been used on great occasions. A rare find indeed, and we recommend framing these in a boxed frame or just having them displayed as they are: a definite statement of what a fine collector you are, having found such an rare item, which would have walked on so many great occasions/events of those fascinating days.
