Description
This silver brooch would have been used to secure the tunic-like baju (inside blouse)
to the outer more elegant embroidered kebaya top the Peranakan ladies wore. Of
foliage patterns in silver embedded with seed pearls, the patterns were very much
influenced by Victorian jewellery they would have been exposed to then.
